Praying For...

Marriages

Father God, I pour my heart out to you today, desperately pleading for You to bring restoration to all marriages in Eastern Washington. Restore our broken relationships, Abba Daddy. Bring lost husbands and wives’ home to their families in repentance and reconciliation. Let us forgive each other as You forgive us and place a strong conviction on our hearts to be the spouses we vowed to be. Help us to follow the principles and guidance You gave to us through Your everlasting word, to help guide our relationships through difficult times. We thank You, Heavenly Father, for setting the first example of sacrificial love, when you sent Your only son to die for our sins before we even committed them. Father may that continue to be the guiding lesson of how we are to be in our own relationships. That it is not about us, but about serving our partners sacrificially. Each day, remind us that we should not look to others or our spouse to make us happy or fill our hearts, but to look to You ONLY for our true identity and purpose. Father, please help these couples remember that You are the only source of our peace, joy, and comfort. You are our lifeline, and we need to be attached to You first, then our marriages. AMEN!
