We cry out to You in desperation, Father God, for You to protect and restore our land. These fires are consuming our vegetation, crops, homes, forests, and killing the wildlife. All things You have provided us with, but is being destroyed bit by bit. Lord, we have cut You out of almost every aspect of our lives so I can completely understand why You would remove our hedge of protection and take back the things You've given us. If I was a child, using my toys to harm others, my parent should be taking away my toys and giving me a punishment that helps me learn to be a better person. Lessons that are hard to receive, but necessary for growth. God, You also want us to be better people and the lessons we are learning are hard, but necessary for us to move from baby believers into adult believers. Your creatures have been killed for fun instead of nourishment for our families. We have compromised our land by adding chemicals to produce larger quantities of crop instead of trusting You to provide. Forests and land have been stripped and cleared to build more, to sell more. We try to control the wind, water, and other resources instead of asking for your help. We keep trying to control everything without Your help and it's not helping. Heavenly Father, speak into the hearts of Your sons and daughters. Let us feel a stronger call to pray for repentance, restoration, and revival in Eastern Washington. You are our only hope - our only protection against natural devastation to this land. Only You are bigger than the dry conditions, dangerous winds, unbearable heat, and our own selfish desires/control. WE NEED YOUR PRESENCE! We are begging You, Father, for Your mercy and grace. We bow down before You, King of Kings, asking for relief. May our prayers not fall short of Your ears, but penetrate Your heart and may You swoop in to save us from our own doing. Please forgive us Abba. We love You deeply. AMEN!
