In June 2022, I felt led to start praying for Eastern Washington. Feeling God call me to prayer did not seem like a difficult request, but praying without ceasing is a much more challenging than expected. Especially when traveling for work, being on vacation, or having to say no to things that I know I would really enjoy doing. But God has always been there for me. He doesn't take vacations, go camping, or have other obligations. He is NEVER too busy for my needs. If I'm trying to live a life like Jesus, I want to be as available to God as He is to me.
Jeremiah 29:10-15 seems to be speaking to me: "10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
This world is making me feel as though we've been carried into exile. We can all agree that we are in the midst of some very challenging times. God is asking us to seek him with all of our hearts. Prayer needs to be more than a quick 5 minutes while on the move to our next appointment. We have to get intentional about our time with God because he wants to hear from His children. Revival Spokane is not looking for money, donations, or anything else. This is just a call to prayer.
Please join us each week online for a zoom meeting where we will call upon our Father to bring us back to the place we came from - that prosperous place with a hope and future.
